Black Friday has long been known as a U.S tradition, and while it still hasn’t reached the same epic proportions in other countries, retailers in Canada are looking for ways to keep shoppers spending their dollars North of the U.S border this weekend.

For the past few weeks many big chains like The Brick, Sears, Best Buy, Future Shop and the Gap Inc. have been marketing four day long mega sale events to happen alongside the American shopping frenzy.

The idea is that Canadian retailers offer competitive prices too and now that many popular American stores are popping up in Canada, Canadians should be able to shop til they drop in their home territory.

Happy shopping!
