Moving Your Tailfeathers...

As you know, after the holidays everyone is on a big kick to start off the new year on the right foot. Usually this means wanting to get active and be in better shape. This is an admirable goal to have, but sometimes we all start off with a big burst of energy only to roll to a stop by the end of January once we realize we have to maintain the healthy eating habits and excursions to the gym on a regular basis.

Here We Go - 2010!

What a year this has been, not to mention a decade. Like you, I've had my ups and downs over the past ten years, but looking back I wouldn't trade any of it. As Mommy Alexander often says, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." She is indeed right.

Kelly Alexander Show in the Montreal Gazette

The Kelly Alexander Show is very happy to announce that we've been featured in an article in The Montreal Gazette, (December 28th '09). It was a pleasure to have been contacted by Steve Faguy to be a part of his story on podcasts, alongside media veterans Peter Anthony Holder and Mitch Melnick. It is amazing when someone takes an interest in your passion and wants to help spread the word.

Kelly's Non-Christmas, Christmas Movie Picks!

It's A Wonderful Life? Not bad. A Christmas Carol? It's OK, but not all great holiday movies have to tug at your heart-strings. In fact, the best ones don't have much to do with the holidays at all. Below are a few examples:

Off The Beaten Path Christmas Gift ideas!

‘Tis the season when gift lists are everywhere. These so-called guides are usually decided by magazine and newspaper editors who take home tons of free swag in exchange for telling you to buy it. But not me – no one sends me any free stuff (I'm talking to you, Steve Jobs), which makes me completely, 100% untainted.

Glee vs American Idol

Sad news for fans of the Fox TV show "Glee." It has been announced that the last new episode of this fantastic series will air on December 9th before it goes into a mid-season break only to return on APRIL 13th, 2010. The reason for this crazy - the new season of American Idol......ba-humbug!

Soccer Drama!

Hey Peeps!

As promised on the show this week, here is the link to watch the video of the girl who lost her mind in a soccer match in the southwestern United States. I do not excuse her behaviour and she has been suspended from her team indefinitely, but when you see the footage you'll realize this is no worse than seeing boys or men in hockey games punching each other in the face. I hate double standards!

Big News on The Young & The Restless!

Don't know about you, but a guilty pleasure of mine is watching The Young and the Restless. I've been a fan for years and a few months ago I became quite upset when it looked like Eric Braeden who has played the nefarious "Victor Newman" would be leaving the show because of a contract dispute. Eric and "Victor" have been a staple on Y&R for over two decades so you can imagine how upsetting it was to think that Eric would have to leave because of money issues.

Rihanna Speaks Out!

In case you missed it, late last week Rihanna spoke out for the first time on her domestic violence situation with Chris Brown. Rihanna appeared on Good Morning Amercia as well as on 20/20 to let the world know what went down with her and Chris on that fateful February night. I've watched the interview and I think that Rihanna handled herself very well discussing a topic that you can just see still hurts and affects her to a huge degree.

On Fire!

Hello!

So happy to be able to communicate with you via my blog page. It has been quite awesome "in the lab" preparing for this week's show. The KAS team and I have been hard at work to bring you an exciting show, including my chat with Dave Rancourt - lead singer of the band The Mission District, (and ladies, he is very cute!!!). Also, Murray Sherriffs has been crafting another masterpiece for his "Here Comes The Sheriff" segment, and he will be talking about one of his favorite topics - WOMEN! Gotta love Mur!

The Kelly Alexander Show is now part of the In Retro lineup! Check it out:
