Kelly and Sharon kick off the show by remembering soap opera star Robert Kelker-Kelly who passed away after appearing on some of the biggest daytime dramas of the 80s and 90s including “Another World”, “Days of our Lives” and “General Hospital”. The 90’s Playlist Picks of the Week follow with Kelly choosing a 90s dance tune from Robin S and Sharon going hard with Naughty By Nature.
The conversation then turns to the Backstreet Boys and their upcoming mini-residency in Toronto. Kelly and Sharon discuss why they’re disappointed the group isn’t coming to Montreal after the city showed them so much love early in their career. They also debate arena versus stadium shows and which experience is worth the ticket price, especially for artists like Janet Jackson and the Foo Fighters.
Tom Cruise is next as Kelly and Sharon discuss the box office struggles of his latest film “Digger,” the rising cost of movie production and whether Hollywood needs to spend so much to make a successful film. Plus, Alanis Morissette has a new Christmas album coming this holiday season featuring a collaboration with fellow Canadian Martin Short.
Give it your best shot with Kelly’s Trivia questions and Sharon takes you back to 1996 with your 90’s Rewind. Thanks for listening to 90’s NOW!
