Season 15 of 90’s NOW kicks off with a special treat as Kelly shares a clip from her latest interview with Melanie C AKA Sporty Spice of the Spice Girls! Kelly talks about what it was like to interview Melanie again after 18 years, her experience seeing her perform live and Melanie’s new album “Sweat”. The season also gets off to the right start with 90’s Playlist Picks of the Week featuring a Spice Girls song from 1997 and the Spin Doctors from 1990.

Kelly and Sharon then discuss the recent Emmy Awards including Mariska Hargitay‘s turn as host and Reba McEntire‘s stellar performance honoring Dolly Parton. They also take a moment to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and share the surprising story of how Mariah Carey unknowingly played a part in a woman not being at her desk in one of the Twin Towers that morning.

The conversation continues with producer Jermaine Dupri‘s recent praise for Mariah Carey and her incredible talent as both a vocalist and songwriter.
